Sorrel Hummus + Chickpeas in a Pressure Cooker

Sorrel Hummus
I am always trying new recipes. My husband likes to joke that I never make anything twice. I do repeat a lot of my recipes but I also don’t want to be bored in the kitchen or have us bored eating the same item over and over. Continue reading →

I love having easy salads in my refrigerator during the summer. They are perfect to add to anything grilled or packed up to take on a picnic. I made this salad several times last year and a few times this year already. I really like taking this salad to a potluck or to a friend’s house for dinner. Continue reading →

Healthy Chocolate Pudding I hope you are not tired of young coconuts yet. This dessert could not be easier or more refreshing. It tastes just as good as a traditional chocolate pudding but it is so much healthier. I wanted to create a healthy dessert that still tasted decadent. Continue reading →

Oranges, blood oranges, lemons, meyer lemons, Continue reading →

Young Coconut Yogurt

For years I have heard everyone say how great coconut water is, that it tastes amazing. I have tried SO many of the containers of coconut water. Ick! I can handle it in a smoothie but not to drink on its own. Finally a year and a half ago a local store was having ‘tropical’ week, it was the first chance that I had to buy fresh young coconuts. I bought two young coconuts and we have been hooked ever since. Continue reading →

Blueberry Blood Orange Baked Oatmeal

Baked Blueberry Blood Orange Oatmeal

I make oatmeal at least twice a month, usually more often. It makes a great breakfast and we always have leftovers for a morning or two. We enjoy baked oatmeal with fruit in it, I love that it is a one dish breakfast that has both a fruit and a whole grain. I prefer making baked oatmeal on Sunday mornings when we are not rushed, the girls love to help mix and we have time to relax while the oatmeal bakes. And I know that I have Monday morning breakfast made! It makes the start to the week a little easier. Continue reading →
